    Really? Are you psychic?

$0.37/share's a of a loss... wouldn't that wipe out their cash?

Oops, my apologies... hadn't seen the release yet. Ouch.

    Ouch. Q1 2013. Not good.

And only 7.8 million device shipped. That's quite the fall.

It feels like a punch to the gut.

For the first time I think it really might be game over.

No BB10 until 2013?!?! I've been a die hard proponent of blackberry, but they're officially dead. They won't live to see the end of 2012.

Ouch is right, there not only going to miss back to school season, but xmas season also...

This is a really big hit...

Also it translates into Q2 and Q3 being bad quarters too with OS7 devices having to pull the weight.

37 cents diluted is about a 200 million loss for the quarter as RIMM has approximately 500 million shares outstanding.

Delayed until Q1 for BB10 sadly that means its will be Q2 for BB10 on Playbook

Why cant RIM get it together and meet their targets?

    What good news?

Completely agree. I was expecting the loss, but delaying BB10 is going to kill them.

Brutal. RIM could handle the losses but not the delay.

Still behind you RIM. Tough, tough, tough times. Damn.

5000 is a drop in the bucket when you consider Q1 is potentially another 9 months to survive without a product release.

At this point RIM have to be purchased.

Ouch. I was really hoping for a RIM turn around and I love my 9900, but RIM is done. No way they can survive this delay. Wasn't the initial release supposed to be Q1 2012? How do you miss a target by a year?

Yup. Not having a seat at the table during the holiday season is probably the final nail in their coffin.

You only get so many misses before customers just give up on you. With new jelly bean android in the pipeline, ios 6.0, and windows 8; how many people are willing to wait a year to upgrade their phones? This is devastating they miss back to school and the holiday season.
