I am basically looking for an app that lets me unlock the phone by swiping the screen, without any ugly looking slide to lock widget appearing on screen (just like on the Playbook tablet). Thanks in advance
edit: or an app that lets me use "a" to also unlock the phone (not only to lock it)

While using the Soft Case from Blackberry, it is very hard to press. I have no problem using the lock button while the phone is not in the case, but I'd rather have it protected...
