I tether my LG Marquee on Boost using BlueDUN without any issues.

Just wish they'd let AppWorld run over bluetooth.

    DAnklaud,
Are you using Virgin Mobile as a service? If so what is the price for accessing the web without making calls? Thanks for the suggestions.

I've had problems with trying to tether to my playbook thru bluetooth with anything but a Blackberry phone, so thats why i got a phone with both bluetooth and Wifi tethering , an Android 2.3.3 OS phone, and wifi works great and fast, it acts just like a wifi cable modem, and i've had no dropouts of signal,But if you get a Blackberry phone youll get extra features like a keyboard/mouse for your playbook

To tell you the whole story, my employer blocks all streaming media on the computer. I was looking for a cheap phone/plan to access some music stations etc while also being able to tether my playbook when i am not near a wifi signal. So I am not really tied to any carrier, just want to make sure if I buy something I will be able to take full advantage. Not really going to make calls and I am hesitant to upgrade my Sprint family plan because I would have to pay almost an extra $80-$100 a month. Just looking for something cheaper. Thanks

Where do you live? You should start by seeing which ones have good service where you need it.
