But from what I understand a physical keyboard BB10 phone will be available a few months after the full touch one.
Nobody knows if it will be Torch style but I'm thinking it will be more Bold style considering that's the "flagship" device.

My personal hope is that it is a horizontal slider purely for the added real estate.
Either way, I'm not buying a BB10 device without a full keyboard and no that Tactus
stupidity (my opinion) does not fit the bill.06-20-12 02:42 PMLike 0 -
- It should be the classic qwerty/bold style for the bb10 keyboard model. Take the 9900 to start. Remove the trackpad and 4 bb keys. That will open precious screen real estate, I believe almost 0.4 inches. Now make it a touch longer/ wider to open more real screen real estate. 3.5 inch screen without expanding the footprint too much, balance should be fine, and 1 hand peration ability. The screen resolution should be minimum 1024x600, anything over is icing on the cake. Now all the rest should be top notch hardware specs (dual core, dual cameras, big battery, etc.....). Thiness should be between 9-9.5mm. Top notch industrial design, materials, a premium statement!!
Also would like to see them take 9900 keyboard and improve on that. Call it the Bold PRO, and release it late 2012 for holiday season, latest Q1 2013. It will be a smash. This will bring people back, if marketed properly. No slider line at this time, just the full touch screen, and classic bold style. That's it for the premium portfolio bb 10 lineshemaree09 and mmcpher like this.06-20-12 03:29 PMLike 2 - Better question is to ask what can RIM come up with? All candy bar/bold/curve style phone other manufacturers have come up with have been taller then BB phones. What makes you think RIM will come up with a better design that wont suffer the same issue? The BB Blade design is the way they should go with a keyboard BB10 device.

Even Apple is reportedly looking to do away with the 3.5 inch screen and move up to 4 inch. And you want RIM to go backwards with 3.5? Not to mention that the screen size should mimic whatever size the all touch BB10 device will have.
But their talking about the physical keyboard version.
WHY would you want a 4 inch screen on a physical keyboard BB10 phone?
Thats a bit much and would seem uncomfortable to hold.

- If it's going to be the Torch slider form factor, they a 3.5 inch screen would be too small.
If it's going to be the flagship Bold 9900 form factor, 3.5 inches would be fine. With the keyboard it would make the device kinda long but if the screen is bigger than 3.5 inches it would be too long.
Keeping my fingers crossed for the latter! Like the TK Victory concept and others like it.06-20-12 08:45 PMLike 0 -
That design looks very uncomfortable.
If it had rounded edges and a wide screen versus the long one then I thin kit would be good.
But it looks too long, for my liking anyway.
Others like yourself might like it.

I can't stand the 98XX series, it's so awkward to use. It's too thick and then when it's open it's too top heavy and strange to type on.
Sliders are not "best of both worlds" like some people think...06-21-12 04:27 PMLike 0 - If it's a slider I will be leaving BlackBerry, so hoping it's a Bold form factor.

BB10 will need to prove itself first. If it's even moderately successful RIM can have some confidence that a larger Bold will attract buyers.07-24-12 12:34 PMLike 0
