So, I had a Torch 9860 and liked it except I just could not type on it(spelling errors all over the place). Which is weird because I was awesome on my storm. I've been using the 9860 since last September and finally decided to try my first ever keyboard. Well I just got it today and am finishing up a fresh OS install(7.1.0.391) right now but so far I absofreakinlutley love it.
Oh man, I'm so ecstatic right now. First off, I got an awesome deal. I bought it from a guy that used it for 2 weeks and switched back to an Iphone 3gs. He wanted $260 but I got it for $200, with all the accessories except the holster, plus an otterbox! $200?!?!?!?!? I know, right!
With the little bit that I've used it I have made only 2 spelling mistakes. With the Torch I would make 2 mistakes in 3 words, it was soo annoying.
To compare the 9860 vs the 9900, the 9900 is much faster overall. More responsive, less lag, less hanging. And the camera takes pics instantly. On the Torch there is a delay of approx 2-5 seconds from when you press the shutter to when the pic actually happens. With this Bold, it is instantaneous. Seriously it is a huge difference. I take alot of pictures of my 13 month old daughter cause shes always being funny and I always get soo frustrated when I try to get a funny pic when she does something and the phone would always be too late. Even without autofocus it seems to take good pics. I don't take alot of close up pics that would utilize the AF anyway. On my Torch I had AF turned off most of the time to try to speed up the shutter lag, but it didn't help much.
I planned all along to to buy the first BB10 device when it hits, but I have a feeling the keyboard is going to keep me with the 9900 for a while. Which is kinda scary because it would seem that BB10 is going to largely be focused on slab touch screen phones so how well will it be implemented on a keyboard phone? Kinda scary.
Ok, this post is really long. Sorry. It could not be helped.
Yeah I think it was. I've been watchin kijiji for about 2 months and this was one of the cheapest ones I've seen. And to only be two weeks old and have zero marks or dings it's just a bonus. I just looked up what case it is and it's an Otterbox Commuter.
I really was holding out for a white one cause they're so damn sexy, but they are few and far between and never in the $200 price range.
