I highly recommend OS 7.1.0.318 official from Docomo Japan. Just search "Docomo Japan" in the search here on Crackberry. I get great battery life with no special apps needed. My battery is at 54% right now at 10:49 PM as I type this, and I took it off the charger at 10:30 AM! It is also very fast and smooth and I have not experienced any bugs. I have tried all the 7.1 OSes and this one has worked the best for me.

The only problem with that version is that it has an always enabled IT policy which might slow down your phone/reboots.

to optimize mine, I have the quickpull app do a simulated battery pull daily while i am sleeping, I have enabled automatic memory cleaning, and I use the "memboo" app regularly which clears out ram and clears out the event log.

I read somewhere that the Rogers OS updates were very good!
Has anyone had any experience with those?
