Well this is pretty cool...usually us USCC users are left holding a balloon while the parade marches by; but US Cellular managed to pull this off. I'm sure Samsung had a lot to do with it, and I'm sure the love affair that USCC has had with Sammy hasn't hurt either.
Anyone excited? I am. I'm giving the S3 some serious thought, even with my reservations about Google. I may preorder, I may wait and see what real world user experience is like. Who knows?
(and then my good buddy Stu will come in this thread and rip me to shreds!! )
But it's definitely exciting that USCC managed to play with the big boys on this one. Now to see them do that with other manufacturers as well...I know there's a lot of HTC and Moto fans on USCC.
I'm going to give it a whirl when I have enough points to upgrade early, probably October. Just not up for waiting several more months for a lot of unknowns of BB10, particularly app availability. I hope BB10 kills and I come back in 2013.

Ive got the points to upgrade one line. I am sooooooooooo glad i let my wife use my upgrade last November for the Black Friday sale...now I can use hers.
im debating on it still. I may wait until its actually released not sure yet. Ill be adding a line if so. And if so ill be cancelling my line with my s2 and selling it.
Heard the US version is 1.5ghz dual core while the UK is 1.4 quad.
S Voice is freezing up the phone and camera is aint so good compared to iphone.
However excellent battery life compared to others.
Overall 9 rating.
The processor difference here in the US is due to LTE...the quad core chip doesn't work with it. But we get 2gb of RAM...I really don't think that's going to be an issue.
I was 95% sold on trying Android with the GSIII when my upgrade is available. With today's news, that is now 100%. So disappointing for RIM to screw it up so badly. From the time of the first OS7 devices to the BB10 phones it will be 18 months. 18 months between releasing phones is an eternity. That's 3-4 cycles in today's market. Their hardware specs are going to be mid-level at best at launch. Hard to say if their phones will be 1) good enough, or 2) available by the time my next upgrade is available. Sad, sad day as a huge BB fan.
I'm formulating a plan to sell on Craigslist mu 8330 for $25, my 9650 for $50, and my current 9350 for $75-100. With that cash get a used Hero or Electrify at a clearance price on Craigslist for now. My upgrade via Belief Points WAS set to be October or early November, but with the recent inflation that will be more like December or January. So, I'll use the Hero/Electrify for a few months then sell it for what I bought it for basically and get the GSIII with my upgrade.
Far cry from being a hardcore BB person as I used to be.
