So, it appears Skype still no longer works in Dev 2.1.

I don't really have knowledge of any other video chat clients, but is it worth trying any of these other clients. A quick search on google play revealed Tango Video Calls, QIK, ooVoo..

I realise these are no skype, but it's all about getting something cross-platform that might work!!

I may have a go at getting the apks for these later, but does anyone know whether these may fundamentally work now video is enabled in the android app player?

Good question, grabbed this from goodereader and no way can I get to work. Yahoo messenger just keeps going to appworld when it finds the plugin isn't available.
I have installed the plugin a couple times with DDPB but I can't see how to get it recognized.

You know as much as I love my PlayBook, but the absence of any video chat platform is just abysmal. The built in video chat doesn't count. If they at least had a client for PC to make it more useful.
