Hi all,

After much waiting, reading & drooling I am now the proud owner of a Bold!!

All so far is great, except for the one tone delivery tune for SMS!! I have tried everything to change but failing miserably.

Any idea�s?

There are many SMS tones to choose from, IMO most are good, not to annoying quite normal and discreet

Yes, you are able to customize all of your alerts.

Quick question. I saw above that you can customize all the alerts (with music for example), but can the alerts be silenced with a button press?

My brother has a Blackjack & sets a 30 second song as an alert for his SMS messages. But they do not silence with any button presses. It's annoying to constantly hear Lil Wayne loops for 15min straight.

If the Bold doesn't silence SMS alerts upon a button press, then I will stick to the factory tones for these alerts.

Sorry to bring up a really old topic, but I heard a colleague's Blackberry SMS notifier the other day - which he said was called Soar - and have had difficulty trying to find it as a file to download and use on my phone.

Is it available as a separate mp3 for downloading and if so, what is the file name?

UPDATE: I have found a sound file called BBRelaxed_Soar.mp3 but it's only 2 seconds long (unfortunately I can't post a link as I have less than 10 messages). The file I had in mind had violins, so I'm wondering if it's a different file?

Any help identifying this would be much appreciated.

UPDATE: Just found it! It's called BBGrooves_Interlude I've posted an attachment (with credits) in the Ringtones folder.
