    Just downloaded the opera mini for my pearl. since it took up quite a bit of memory on my device i'm wondering if i can delete the default browser now, or no?

    if i can, whats the best way to do it? just the application list like everything else??

    No you cannot delete it. You need it to download items from the net.

    Opera Mini doesn't need the BB browser to function. What the BB browser is needed for are things like OTA installs and streaming any media content or--Opera Mini won't do those. It will download files and store them on your device.

    I use it all the time. It's much faster than the BB browser on my device. If I need to do an OTA install, then I'll use the BB Browser.

    I like the Operamini 4.1 way better than the default browser. Its nice to load pages as they are. Is there something better out there for the 8130?

    go ahead and delete your browser and see if opera works. i'll bet that it doesn't
