I am tring to log in to the Alarm.com app so I can control my home security system from my phone. I am getting this error message:

"A connection cannot be established to the server. Please try again."

It is not related to the user name or password as I was able to get it to work on my daughter's droid. I have tried a bunch of times and am getting the same message. Any ideas?

Sorry, I can't help, but maybe contact the developers and see if they are able to help. They might know best.

This is JAWAG (Just A Wild A** Guess), but check your home router it might not allow incoming connections (or it may be that the incoming data is being routed somewhere else).

I'm having the exact same problem regardless of going through a home router or cell network. "A connection cannot be established to the server. Please try again."

I heard back from FrontPoint (my Alarm.com provider). Below worked for me:

"To resolve, please load the app and click the Option button on your phone then select Network. Once in Network, please click TCP and this should resolve the issue for you."

Once I changed it from "auto" to "TCP," everything started working.
