    ...convenience key.

RIM should bring it back. look at the new curve 9220; it has a dedicated bbm button smack dab in the middle of where my beloved LSCK used to be. it shouldn't be that difficult.

if they cant do that then the should mae all new bbs with a dedicated bbm button... and make it reprogramable.

who else misses the ol' left side button? who else thinks it deserve the same fate as the scroll wheel?

Of course I want it back, it made no sense for them to take it way in the first place.

I still have a Storm 2, so I don't miss it per se...but I thought it was a bit ******** to remove it.

For those of us with keyboards with shortcuts enabled the "N" key brings up BBm, among numerous other keyed shorties.

I agree, it does seem daft to have removed it.

It's the same with the charging pod contacts. The 9900 is the only BB that still uses them.

    Backward step in my opinion.

Set quicklaunch to the space key and vlingo to the right convenience key.

I also like an app called SixTools that allows you to set shortcuts to volume keys as well as mute key on 99xx.

I don't understand why it went away either. However I don't like a dedicated bbm key. Even though I have my lsck set to bbm Lol.

lol! first thing i did with a new bb was change that! I'd set the lsck to lock and the rsck to pyont...

that was before rim screwed up the whole lock/standby/screen lock.

amusingly i still hear SAY A COMMAND semi regularly while riding the bus.

That is what I did. Now I have to exit to the home screen to hit quicklaunch. Its just a bit annoying.
