So one of my friends decided to get a BlackBerry on my recommendation and she liked the Curve 9360 with ATT.
I did not really know what to thing about it since I just get the flagship BlackBerry every time. I love my Bold 9930 but this little Curve 9360 can do quite a few things:

    1. FM Radio? Wow. This is cool because of the radio stations but also it makes a good backup radio in case of a natural disaster. No data plan usage required.

    2. 5MP camera and really good video (not HD video though)
OS7.1 so it does everything the Bold does sans the touch screen.

    3. I think the Bold has a keyboard advantage but the Curve was surprisingly responsive and pleasant to type on nontheless. All the keyboard shortcuts are there.

    4. People are going bigger and bigger but I really saw the value of going smaller. It fit in my pocket with absolute ease.

I helped my friend order this device and it cost only 29.99. They waived the activation charge so if you are looking for a device and don't want the bigger phones or a status symbol this little guy could be a good option.

This economy model is actually faster than my old torch 9800.

All I'd say is with my 9900 when I really hammer on it on a BUSY workday it slows a bit. The 400MHz less on a 9360 would be even slower for me! Also 14.4MBPS modem is great for tethering to my PC, I've had 8.6 down. Useful. All I'd say is the 9360 probably gets better battery life, yet my 9900 lasts a day and a half with ease.

I'm also intrigued by the 9360. Been thinking about giving it a go for a few weeks... I don't think I could give up my 9900 full time, but intrigued nonetheless. Anyone switched from the 9900 to the 9360??

Might get my wife the 9360 next month. She doesn't need the flagship whistles and bells but couldn't live without her Blackberry. Coming from the 9700, I think this little feller will suit just right. I agree with Jake above, battery has gotta be better than most OS7 devices.

I'm sold on it. I upgraded from a bold 9700 and after two weeks of use I can say overall it was a good move. I like OS7.1, much faster response and seems to be better intergrated with apps. I only get hourglass when I run App World or doing some battery logging. Everything else is wait free. Small and very lightweight, I tried looking for a small android like this but couldn't find one. Keys are a little stiff but I believe it will get better over time. My 9700 had a great fit like a old worn saddle. Battery does not last as long but I still can get approximately a day and a half on a single charge. Also it is very fast to charge and boot up time is about a third of the 9700. Plus it was cheaper than the 9900.

I like your comments Wolf. Specially about the battery.

She's definitely getting the 9360 now.

I swapped my 9360 with a friend who bought the 9900 in white. He loves it. He specifically commented on how small and lightweight it is and how it gets the job done (In terms of texting)

However, from using the 9900 for quite some time, I don't think I'll be able to go back to a 9360. I found myself accidentally trying to touch the screen whenever I take a look at it lol.

Has anyone used both in the real world? Looking for a direct battery life comparison. I've read online people say it's not that much better than the 9900

i love my 9900, but would carry a 9360 any day of the week. i really wish i had it as a backup, or to use while i'm hitting the trails or whatever, to prevent scuffs, etc to my precious bold.

My wife got a 9360 and it is a little worse horse, she is very happy with it. I love my 9900 but she says her 9360 fits more for her.
