I just downloaded Tablet TV free, hoping to catch the last episode of the Amazing Race. I went to Canadian stations, found the AR on CTV, but when I tried to view the show I got nothing but a home screen. Do you have to download the pay version to see the show? I don't mind paying a couple of bucks if it works, but don't want to blow more money on useless apps.
Are any Canadians here watching US channels on their Playbooks?
Sorry you're having that issue! The free version should work just as well as the paid version for the channels it includes, the limited channels in the free version (and I don't push updates out as quick for the free one) is the only substantial difference between the two.
I assume you're on the latest OS?
Try rebooting your Playbook.
If it still isn't working, try deleting it, rebooting, and reinstalling.

Proxies should work to watch channels from other countries, but not all proxies are created equal and some reveal your true IP address (I just found this out). For the absolute best results, consider a VPN service such as unblock-us.com configured through your router.
