I am sure that they will offer QWERTY devices but I also have a very strong feeling that they won't be quite the flagship models they have been in the past.
They're coming out with an all-touch BB10 first because that's apparently what more consumers claim to want. But we're reasonably sure at least one full QWERTY device will be following shortly thereafter. Until then, the BB7's will have to fill the void. I can't speak for everybody, but I've got no complaints with this 9900, so that's just fine with me.
If they drop the qwerty and go full touch then it will not be BlackBerryish. I know the the masses want full touch screens and an app on how to make instant coffee but I just think the new BlackBerry will look to much like an apple.
I honestly don't think RIM will ever drop the QWERTY because that has/is there bread and butter of there devices. It is and always has been one of the main reasons people go with a blackberry vs. other devices. So if they drop it other then BBM people will have no real reason to stay with blackberries. Especially considering a version of BBM might be going to other OS's. So in my personal belief they will never get rid of the QWERTY maybe they will just improve on it even the 99xx series one is the best one ever.
Physical keyboard is awesome for people who loves to type a lot. If RIM ever decide to implement full touchscreen devices, they'll have to make sure that their keyboard is as intuitive as the iOS.

I agree with this. I think it is highly unlikely that RIM will drop QWERTY all together, but I don't think they will be the devices RIM really pushes.
I think that they will make one for all of the keyboard fans, but it will heavily hinder the full touch experience of BB10. As seen by Android devices like the Droid Pro, it's hard to stuff a good keyboard under a device that demands touch.

They have to have a keyboard model with the usual trackpad and hard buttons for quick access to menus. I have a hard time imagining how that would work with BB10 if it is anything like the Playbook. I hoping it is more like a full sized of the old Palm Pixi -- but with a trackpad and hard buttons to preserve the Bold experience.
A lot of people have accused RIM of doing stupid things, but if they don't create a full qwerty BB10 phone, I would put that at the top of the list.
I doubt I would buy a full touch BB for a work phone, the only way it would happen is if it truly is an awesome phone or if there are no full qwerty Windows phones available.
There's been nothing but rave reviews on the 99xx's keyboard. i had one for a brief stint myself, and would also say it's phenomenal. I have a feeling they will release an exact copy or darn close for their qwerty BB10; stainless steel ring, high res touch screen, exact same hardware keyboard, etc. If RIM is seeking to increase market share, why would they cease anything particularly standout in the present times? They know they've whipped up one glorious keyboard, they won't just abandon it for all touch.
Besides, thinking that RIM would drop the keyboard begs the question: how many devices can they make? How many BBOS6 or BBOS7 devices were made in a year? How many Bolds or Curves? They always make many different series and versions of devices. If they went touch only, there are far fewer options for different devices; one has a bigger screen than the other? That's all they'd have to work with.
