Just picked a note. Awesome device. My first android phone. Just got to get use to this size. First impressions of android is that's its definitely come along way a from a couple years ago. the Note does lag a bit. Not as polished as my iphone 4 I had but seems to have more features. Anyone try the Note and go back to iphone? Just curious. All in all im happy and gonna give it a couple weeks and see if I can get used to the OS and size. The 4 buttons at the bottom(home, back etc..) is there a way to keep those lite all the time or at least longer? Thanks
Give it a few days and you won't even notice the size anymore.
Unfortunately after a few days you won't be able to tolerate the tiny screens on every other device. I'm not thrilled with my Note compared to my Galaxy S2 but the real estate is amazing.. I'm totally spoiled
I turned off live wallpaper and it really helped with the lag and battery. As for the size, I hope I do get used to it because there is no other android on the market right now that I would want so I would get a 4s in the mean time.
Well guys I ended up returning the noe and getting a iphOne 4s. Loved the note but it was just too big for me to carry around at work. I work in the field and move around a lot and it just wasn't practical. The iPhone is more compact and will be worth more in a couple months. I will check Out the galaxy s3 when it comes out.
I've been a berry forever, but I picked up a note and played with it for only 5-10 minutes, I didn't get to go thru everything, but that little 10 minute event has me thinking about; a. picking one up and b. looking more into android to make a switch
I switched from blackberry to iPhone and now have the Galaxy Note and I must say it is really good. One disappointing thing is the battery life, it only lasts a day or two!!

Any smartphone that makes it through the day is considered good IMO. Other than a blackberry, most will have to be charged every night.
Hope your happy with the iphone I'm getting my note next week followed by an international. S3 and an unlocked nexus just got my new laptop this week and it time to get my hack on
The reading I have done on Lithium Ion batteries has suggested that they like to be plugged in as much as possible. They don't "overcharge" and burn out or anything when left plugged in for longer periods of time. In fact the lithium ion battery will have a longer life span if you keep it near full capacity more often than not.
