Was this taken out in the newest update? If so that seriously blows.

This is when you are in an email or text, and can go to the next one by swiping across the screen

I'm on a Sprint 9930 and just updated to the 7.1 OTA release by Sprint.

Can anyone else confirm this, cuz I dont remember turning that function off, or even having the ability to turn that off.

It's still there, you just have to turn it on...

Thanks, this Feature must be disabled automatically in one of my latest Builds. But now I have it back (although I wasn't using it, I just knew it was there).

Sometimes it works, and sometimes it does not.

Still doesn't work. I have mine set to check.
You seem to have too many bugs that nobody else has... I suggest an OS reload.

Phil I was on .267 for as long as it was out...yes lots of problems. I just edited my post and I'm on the new one you were talking about the .284(installed it at 6pm) and I was just swiping the screen sometimes it was quick to swipe to next one and then sometimes it lags.

Did .284 cure the media player and phone crackling issues you were having on .267?

Give .284 a little more time and a few more battery pulls to settle in, and that lag should pass.

I don't even see that "swipe between messages" option. I must be using an older version

The option to switch it on or off is only there in OS7.1

It's on by default in OS7

Hey Phill, no the Media player issue is still there. It happened when I was taking a shower that the music stopped working. Then when pressing the Shuffle Songs and the buttons the thing would not function so naturally had to do a reset. Sucks!

Sadly, this awesome feature is not available on Z10. Actually we don't even need it on 9900 since keyboard shortcuts are there but it is still very cool.

Thanks very much! Now I can stop scouring the internet for a 'solution. Any chance we'll be getting the feature in an OS update? Thanks again

You may want to list it in requested features in next update at official support.blackberry forums. There is a big list going on there.
Also you can hang out in Z10 forum. Honestly, I dont think it will be available since Z10 uses side swipe gesture to go back to hub so it wouldn't work, though they can add buttons, there is a lot of room on the screen!
