I recently purchased a couple of 6710s which I plan to use on AT&T.

I have been using a 7730 on T-mobile and it is a great device.

I have the OEM USB sync cradle and cable for my 7730, but neither seem to work with my 6710s. WHY?

I have a good battery in my 6710 and it works fine, but it will not charge or be recognized by my laptop. I have seen a serial port 6710 charge cradle on eBay, do I have to buy that to charge and sync?

Also, how can I put the newest OS possible on my handset and delete the 5 min security lock IT Policy? Thanks.

I'm not sure about your cabling situation but here's what I'd do for the software:

Wipe with BBSAK
Then download the appropriate version of the software here: https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...E4F82F9F00E7D4


Then flash the newer OS on it.

About 6 months ago,i got a BB 6710.I was really really surprise that i can use it for calls without repairing.And it's very clear.
