We just received the first of these in our office at work. I think the 9930 is a great first step in the right direction for RIM. I think it could use a front facing camera for video conferencing and possible Skype integration, or Video BBM (someday)? It was very wise for RIM to include the compass and accelerometers (maybe gyros for the next iteration).

I am considering selling my Verizon iPhone 4 and coming back to BlackBerry.

I just got mine. I was a bit surprised that it is wider than my 9650 Bold. And the battery was so thin!!! Boot time compared with the 12 minutes on the 9650 is worth the upgrade!

It has gyroscope, the 9900/9930 is stunning.

Rim really never went away! What happened was the Android invasion with Apple tagging along. Every day I read more and more people complaining about android and apple saying its not any greener on the other side. Don't get me wrong though RIM needs to pick up the pace to keep up with the competition .

It is a gryo? That's great! That means Yelp's monocle should work well.

Are there any AR star gazing applications yet?

I have been a BlackBerry/RIM fan for years.

I have had the 8700, 8100, 8900, 9800, and just the 9900 this past October, and its the best phone I have ever used.

The 99xx is the best of the traditional BlackBerries, but it is more the end of the line of the old, rather than the first of the new.

The first step towards the future is the OS on the PlayBook. So far, I think it's headed in the right direction.

I wonder if the BB10 phone will have the gesture frame or a menu button like all current Blackberry phones.

With the lower end models, RIM is coming back. But not in the West, but in the East with the large growing middle and upper class populations in countries like India, China and several smaller countries in that region.
