When I launch Messages and Calendar (no, not at the same time), the apps take a while to get in working shape. It takes a good while for Contacts to stop lagging as well.

It is just me? I am considering a 2nd go of security-wipe+debrick here...

It's not you, it's not me. I'm bailing on the native PIM and sticking to my BB and Bridge.

Extremely slow. My calendar takes nearly five minutes to fully populate. My emails take forever to load. It is very frustrating.

Not just you. I swear they feel slower than the bridge apps.

My messages and calendar take 7 seconds to load. My work computers - i7 - takes 5 seconds to load outlook. 2 seconds won't kill me. Not sure what your PlayBook's deal is. I have no lag

Welcome to Active Sync. Instead of a BES or BIS maintaining a sync with your mail servers, your PlayBook has to go out and sync with each of your mail servers.

I was just noticing this today. When I first set up the accounts (I have 5) things seemed pretty quick. But, now they are slow. I'm doing a test now to see if it's any one specific account that is the cause. 1 is Exchange, 1 is Gmail, one is Facebook, and the other two are POP accounts.

I only have facebook on mine since my regular account is a blackberry.net (so I am only able to use bridge mode )

Anyway mine loads quickly but it makes sense the more connections you put in to it the longer it would take.

I'm pretty sure the reason for this because they are [sadly] built in air, which can be slow...

So far, most are saying it is slow, yet a few said it's ultra fast (really, 7 seconds to launch IS ultra fast in my book).

Speedies, care to tell me what ccounts you got and how many contacts/appointments?

Mine all launch in 10 seconds or less with 5 email accounts, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn configured. My email accounts are 2 Exchange accounts, 1 Gmail account and 2 IMAP accounts.
