    Evening all,

I currently have 3 exchange emails setup on the Playbook with OS2.0. During the day I set all 3 to manual sync, this is to help save battery on Playbook and Bold as I have bridge setup all the time (need to access notes) and don't have access to wifi.

The thing is that I have noticed that even in manual sync that all 3 email accounts will pull in new emails throughout the day at random times. Is there another setting that I am missing??

I can't answer your question, but you should check these posts before assuming that manual sync reduces drain on the battery. This is so counter-intuitive that there is probably some kind of bug.

Thanks for the reply. Info was very helpful, will try full push and 15 minute interval to see you what happens!

    And one more:

Might want to use 1hour vs. 15 minutes.

Tested today and found a massive difference to both devices.

Set all 3 emails to sync every 2 hours from manual. Both devices off charge at 4:45am (yep that's what time I get up for work!) currently 9:30pm and with bridge on all day playbook on 40% remaining and Bold on 25% both syncing 80 odd emails and browsing the net with note application. I'm much happier with this result, yesterday they were both flat at around 7:00pm. Definitely a bug within the manual sync option.

I don't get it. If it's set to Manual sync, how do you trigger the sync? There are two options: sync interval and message sync timeframe. No clue what he latter does but i set the first to Manual and where is the manual sync button? Thanks!

Ha, just figured it out. To refresh, pull down on the messages past the first one. And I guess the sync timeframe is the amount of days to keep
