Hey, I have been signing and converting a TON of apps in all the other threads, so thought I would start my own since I am doing lots of uploading.
We have currently 800!!! converted Apps available that have been all tested, signed and verified working!! This is really the best App Store next to App World and focuses exclusively on Android Apps.
From here on in, if an app is geo-retricted to the USA or any other country, you have to provide an APK. Honestly. I have done thousands of requests since Jan, you really can't expect me to like download emulators and get apps that are region locked. If you really want an app, and i say, i live in canada, it won't let me download it, instead of ignoring me, or spamming "please convert this app" do your own due diligence and help me out a bit and throw me the apk.
You may request 1 App Each and I will convert it, test it and sign it for you. All apps will be posted in the store link in my signature. There is also video tutorials and instructional guides on how to load these BAR Files onto your Playbook.
Please Note
1) No Paid Apps
2) No pirate Apps
3) any app relying on your mic or camera, will not work. This is many VOIP or Social Networking Apps
4) Don't spam requests - Commonly users will start their own thread and reply to every other request thread - don't do this.
Apps NOT WORKING
Skype
Gmail
Google Currents
Google Music
Google+
Google Finance
Hulu
Netflix
Temple Run
Angry Birds Anything
Instagram
Google anything but earth
most remote apps
most banking apps.
There are numerous Android apps I'd be interested in trying on my PlayBook. Probably the foremost one is <strike>StumbleUpon</strike> (listed in the Made a list! thread) Remember the Milk, which I think would be very useful on PB.
Thank you for this initiative, I look forward to seeing what comes out of it!
We should combine all these request and convert threads, and add all bars to the thread with the '243 bars' thread, a lot of apps are going to get duplicated -_-
How about the Adobe Reader, available free at the android Market? Does lots the PlayBook version won't and I'm tired of waiting. Wrote to foxit asking them to port their (paid) reader to playbook; they refused. So... Would definitely fill a gap.
