I upgraded my PB to 2.0 and then updated my 9810's bridge software and now I can pair via bluetooth but when I try to pair via bridge, I keep getting a "pairing failed" message.

I have uninstalled bridge, rebooted phone, reinstalled it, rebooted it again, and still it won't pair via bridge.

Have been trying all day with no luck! HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

Is the BlackBerry smartphone configured as discoverable when attempting to pair it with the BlackBerry tablet?

Same problem for me (well with my naff 8520). I used to just put bluetooth on with both and it would automatically bridge. But this is no longer happening.

Both devices are listed under each other's menu, but it doesn't automatically connect and I get pairing failed if I try the barcode scanning or manual pairing option.

Strange thing is that if I turn on the remote control, that works, but nothing else on the bridge works. Had no such problems in the week before the various updates. In fact when I got the device, couldn't believe how easy it was to pair the devices!

    Try this in sequence :

    1. On the phone
    - Delete any bridge entry, if any
    - Delete any BT entry

    2. On the PB
    - Delete BT phone entry

    3. Reboot both

    4. On the PB, start the bridging setup sequence (DO NOT pair BT before), try to use the tags (clean your lens if it's not working).

Lest us know if it's better , I bet it will.

You may try the RROY site and DL/install ota for bridge 2.0.0.25

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    I narrowed down the problem!
It aint with my 9810 nor my Playbook...

Issue seems to be with the version of Bridge that is on the device.
I wonder if I can d/l an older version.....

My 9810 wasn't pairing to the playbook (v. 2.0.1.358) either. I upgraded from 7.0 to 7.1.0.267, and bridge disappeared from my apps. In App world it showed as uninstalled. Downloaded it again and couldn't find it anywhere though app world was still showing it as installed on my phone.

    What fixed it for me:
Deleted the bluetooth profile on my phone for the playbook, and did the reverse on the playbook. Deleted Bridge in App World and reset both devices. Just the equivalent of a battery pull, NOT a factory reset, or security wipe. When my phone booted back up reinstalled bridge from App World.

I did not start by bluetooth pairing my devices. When straight to set up through bridge. (the whole scan the bar code thing).

After that it all works fine.
