Hi all, did you notice any change in your battery life since 2.0 update?

    Mine drains very fast

I responded to your post in another thread. Beta is probably the issue.

Mine started draining a lot faster once I upgraded to the dev version of OS 2 yet it seems like it's draining faster now. Granted, I'm using it more, but I think the email apps etc are causing it to drain faster. Times I'm not using it (ie when asleep) it still loses battery life faster then before. I frequently have to turn off wifi to help but that doesn't seem to do the trick as well as before.

Regardless... I'm still happy with the update I got and don't mind having to throw it on the charger an extra time a day for a bit.

I'm excited for the future of this platform!

Well, my battery is performing like the energizer bunny on Cialis....it doesn't want to die. 28 hours ago I had 100%, and just started charging her up a while ago at 72%.

Hopefully, one of the Vendors will support a Download of one of the Battery Extender apps on App World soon like is available to Phones which work very well to extend battery life with heavy use with phone. So far, after only one day OS 2.0 use on PB, I see only a minor increase in rate of battery drain based on my usage.

Strange, I actually noticed an increase in battery life...

I use my PB a LOT during the day for both work and play, and yesterday was one of the first times I didn't need to plug it in halfway through the day to keep it afloat.

Strangely enough, I probably used it more than usual yesterday, as I was setting up all of my accounts and arguing with my IT department to open up our email server to mobile devices

It seems to me as well, that the people with battery problems are the ones that had the OS2 beta installed before. My battery drain appears to be exactly the same as with the old OS as of now.

I had only the last beta and then upgraded to the OS 2.0 release version yesterday. It's just one day, but I think battery life has improved.

I ran Battery Guru overnight last night, and it only used 2% in standby all night with WiFi and Bluetooth off. Normal with 1.0.8 was about 5%. It's also only using 0.05W on standby, down from 0.06W on OS 1.0.8.

I've been playing a lot of PvZ, so when it's on, it's draining a lot, but on standby it seems to be better.

I've never been displeased with my PB's battery life, and from what I've seen so far, OS 2.0 won't change that perception.

My battery is high on Red Bull or something
Its been holding onto charge more than it used to for OS1.0.8.
Didn't do anything specific, same settings as was on OS1.0, so good news overall for me

I too thought I had quicker battery drain ... but I think it was more a result of sifting through the myriad of troll-based threads, thus "greater than average use" ... since recharging it yesterday, things appear to be pretty much "normal" if not a little better.

I did have Battery Guru running last night ... but forgot to check the info this morning!

I would normally lose 10% over night in standby on the beta with connections on. Last night it was 5%. Looking at the power consumption(guru)during use it seems to be the same or a little better.

My battery drainage is about the same since I downloaded OS2.0. I still think it's kinda early to compare. I will monitor and check back in about a week

I'm going to check after one week of use
20mn of PvZ was about 7-8%...

But I agree without wifi, I gain a lot, normal cause there is no email sync....

For the guys with apparently phenomenal battery life now, consider that the OS may be recalibration the health and such under a new algorithm, so we might need to wait for a few days before some fluctuations settle out.

If you think you're getting much higher battery life, please check the power reading in Battery Guru while you're actively using the device for a while (greater than two minutes at least), for email or whatever. With the screen on.

If you do that and the power still shows in the 1.8W to 2.5W (ballpark) for moderate use, I can assure you you are not really getting much longer battery life than before, but only an apparent increase because of the level indicator getting mucked up.
