You'd be better off picking up a nice used BB and saving the upgrade for BB 10 when that pops up. You'll be better off, and you can still enjoy the OS 7 love.
I went from 8330 to 9900 last September and I couldn't have pictured myself enjoying BlackBerry with the old machine. That being said no one can really say what BB10 is going to be like until at least MWC end of the month and BlackBerry World in May.
bb10 devices WILL require a dual core processor and all os 7 devices are single core.
i can see that your using a device that has a keyboard. so if that is important to you then you might as well get an os7 device because the first bb10 phone will be an all touch screen one. unless you can wait a couple of months for the bold fork factor version of bb10 is released
Agreed. I bought a Torch 9860 in September knowing that next gen QNX phones were in the pipe. However, I fully intend to be there on BB10 launch day to pick up the latest and greatest. It'll hurt the wallet a bit as I'll only be 1 year into a 3 year contract but I just have to have a BB10 phone! I got both the original Storm and PlayBook on their launch days, and I look forward to continuing the tradition with BB10.
Yeah - no BB10 for you on the 9900. Don't let that stop you from upgrading to the 9900 - best BB model I've ever owned (I started with the original 850 "RIM" pager). It's still not perfect though... battery life leaves a lot to be desired.
Just beware though, your head might explode when you jump from the 8330 to the 9900. It may not be BB10, but it will feel like it.
