For some reason on my converted Pearl 9100 (from T9 9105), when using suretype and typing I'm getting period after single presses on space bar. This is expremely frustrating. I would write:

'Hello how. Are you'

one time out of two the 'auto period after double spaces kicks in even after inserting only one space.

1) has anyone experienced this?
2) is it possible to disable the period after double spaces altogether?
3) could it be a false contact after I changed the keyboard (I am really only pressing the space bar once) and the keypad 'thinks' im pressing it twice?

I'm a window cleaner and I keep my pearl in my work belt as I listen to music over bluetooth. I got it a little too wet once and then what you describe started happening. When I would insert one space it would detect it as two and insert a period.

When it dried out it stopped doing this. There are some videos on YouTube showing how you can clean your keyboard. If it's not wet maybe it has something stuck in there

Change key rate under keyboard setting to normal

You can disable the auto period. Go into the keyboard settings to change the option.
