I have an unlocked Telus phone (almost positive its unlocked, used someone else's sim card) and it wont connect to the T-mobile network (have a new SIM card). All it says is "searching for network" or "SOS". Can't connect to any network and I don't know whats wrong! Any help would be appreciated!

what phone is it? but I'm pretty sure telus phones can't use t-mobile even if it unlocked because telus uses cdma but t- mobile uses aws which are different frequencies meaning your phone wont work on t- mobile. You could try sprint or verizon since they are both cdma carriers but I'm not 100% sure as I dont live in america

Actually, Telus isn't all CDMA anymore.
They have an HSPA+ network, and plans for LTE too.

Under Manage Connections - Mobile Network Options - Switch it to GSM / 2G. You should be able to connect as long it is unlocked.
