You are correct. There is no Playon "app" for the playbook, but I have good news for you.
Once you've installed the Playon streamer software on your PC, you can access Netflix, Hulu Plus, and other streams using your Playbook's browser. Just go to "By going to "m.playon.tv". (I don't remember if I had to enable mobile access first in the PC settings.)

When you first installed it, did it tell you a new version was out and you had to upgrade to use the app? Mine did.. It downloaded something and is now sitting at "Preparing to update".. Been sitting there a while.. Will let it sit and see what it does.
