when you have multiple apps running, from the main menu it can get a little tricky to bring the app you want to the forefront by swiping. If you swipe from the bezel it will smoothly slide through the apps controllably.

The black border around the screen is the bezel.

ok, i get it. i am currently away from my playbook. so do you mean swipe the across the top/bottom?, or do u swipe across the middle from one side to the other? i am sure i already do this but just asking for clarification
