I've owned my playbook for alteast 3 weeks now, and so far, I've purchased about 20 apps, and about half of them, I do regret. Sigh*.. I wish most of these apps have a demo or trial version.

I would love to buy a few games but every time I click on the link at Appstore, the price is higher in Paypal. (e.g. Life says $3.99 in app store, but $6.99 in Paypal. Same with Sims). That's pissing me off, but wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

I've yet to see the appstore work since I got my playbook. Worked fine on my phone, then I got a playbook and cant purchase anything for it AS WELL as my phone.

    1. sonicair. it is literally the only good playbook app ive tried so far but its still not as good compared to what other tablets offer. i dont care about games at all and i already have iphone/ipad for way better game selection anyway.

5 to 10. For my use I don't need many apps. There are more I'd like to have though and none of them would be angry birds or skype or netflix that it seems everyone in the world can't live without.

unfortunately for rim, this means everyone else in the world will be choosing other tablets.

Its a good sign that most developers now provide a lite version or trial versions. I make reviews of playbook apps as and when i find some exiting apps.

I have all the best games and apps around 35 or so. I think I spent around $0.

OH you asked how many I purchased, well that would be zero. Since I really won't get much use out of the apps I already have.

I've bought more apps (mostly games) in the past 2 months since owning my PlayBook than in the past 3 years on my BB phone.

I bought the PlayBook for better mobile browsing, work, and school, but am finding myself spending more time playing games now. Really loving Modern Combat 2 at the moment.

Not much available that I want as yet. I am not a game player so I don't buy those apps. And besides those and the flood of off copyright or other books and guides that don't interest me, there are just not a lot of apps I am even willing to spend a buck on. Real productivity applications. I would be willing to spend a lot more money for if and when they become available. What I want and will spend much more than a buck on are:

    Skype
Better MS-Office compatible Apps including Outlook.
Nook Reader that sync with my Nook. So when I travel I don't have to carry two devices. I prefer my nook to read on right now.
    OneNote ??
Full blown well developed RDP application as good implementation as availabe on Windows compatible systems with touch screen including ctl alt function keys and right mouse button clicks.
    UltraEdit like editor.
    Finish the Citrix client.
File application that lets me connect to network file shares and manage files as though they are on the device.
    Second Life Application.
Lots of scientific apps but i can live with running them remotely if i had very good RDP.
