SocialScope is just cleaner looking to me all around so I prefer it. It used to push updates instantly however I've noticed since switching to my 9930 it only updates when I'm actually in the app.
I don't think I'm much help because I haven't used UberSocial in since the last update. It seemed my battery life was much shorter after the update. And I love, love, love UberSocial, but been using SocialScope because my accounts are more accessible and I prefer to have the location on most of my tweets.
Pick which one you like better and use it.
