I got a Pearl and just was doing basic texts until the other day when I looked in the options and MMS is not in the menu. Compose SMS text is the only option I get. My friend with a Curve showed me his says Compose MMS but my 8100 Pearl doesn't. Any ideas??

Since it's been nine hours since you posted and no one has offered a better suggestion, I'll suggest you call your carrier and make sure you have MMS service as part of your plan. I believe it is available to AT&T users, but I'm not one, so I can't be sure.

That is weird. I was thinking if your device does not have preloaded images and you haven't taken any pix, then the option isn't available.

Perhaps try taking a photo, then sending it yo someone.

Do you have a data plan? Without data plan, you have no service books for mms and it will not give you an option for picture text.

need to call up ATT and have them turn it on. i had the same problem with mine. had to call TMO's BB division to get my stuff straight
