Downloading it now. I might wait to install it though, since my phone seems to be running well on the latest OS from Verizon. Anyone know of any improvements or differences with this build?

I couldn't help myself. Finishing up the install on my 9850 right now. What's odd is that I haven't bothered installing the OS 2 beta on my PlayBook. Probably should read up on what the pros/cons of it are.

this comes up a billion times. you need a Windows computer if your carrier isnt US Cellular. if it is, just use desktop manager and the update should pop up.

I initially had some issues where Facebook couldn't authenticate due to some SSL restriction, but my phone wasn't Enterprise Activated. After a few reboots (app upgrades), everything is working fine. I haven't noticed any differences yet. So no problems at least.

I was having problems with TelNav and a tech at USC said this was coming out and would fix my GPS problems. It did.

Been running this for a little under two days now. Battery live seems to be a little better, but still could be to early to tell. Wifi browsing is quicker, almost instant for mobile sites. Transitions between programs is smoother. Cell radio seems stronger. When I'm at work I had 1 bar sitting at my desk, now I have a steady 3 at all times. Overall seems to be a very stable build.

    Still no 9860 love

Can I use the full java folder from this to load onto my 9860? Is it just the radio file / folder that will be different?

Been up and running this os for a few days now. Finally seems to be settled in. Memory leak is less then with other builds, been a day and half since last reset and I have only lost 1.3mb. Battery life is better, especially in not in use. Its 2:40am and phone had been off the charger since yesterday morning around 5:30am, and I'm still sitting at 27%. This has been with moderate to heavy use at times; texting, phone calls, bbm, bbm group, twitter, browsing, and a little facebook. This build seems very stable and quick.

I'm getting better battery life, I think due to better handling areas with bad reception. Instead of constantly going in or out, it shows SOS more in those areas and doesn't kill my battery.

I also just noticed my ringtones aren't working. When someone calls, I just get vibrations but no music plays. I've changed the ringtone, tried different profiles, disabled vibration, set volume to the highest, etc. No sound plays even when pressing the Try It button. The music player and speaker phone put out sound so I know the speaker works fine. Anyone else have the issue? It might be an app that is causing it, or maybe it'll clear up with pulling the battery for a few minutes rather than a reboot.

I can't seem to get this OS installed on my phone no matter what I try.

Deleted the vendor.xml file, uninstalled all other OS'es, even reinstalled Desktop Manager Software and the OS software and no go...

Anyone know what else I can try?

EDIT: After trying it on another machine of mine, I ended up installing VZW's OS, then this one, and then copying ALL contents into VZW's .374's OS folder and overwrote all files... Worked like a charm. It's updating as we speak... I hope it goes through smoothly.
