    My blackberry bold 9900 suddenly seemed to have stopped receiving SMS messages.

    Everything else seems to work fine, including e-mail and instant messaging.

    I also tried restarting the phone already.

    I am able to SMS just fine, people are receiving my texts but I am not receiving any incoming SMS.

    I am with Bell.

    What can I do to try to fix this before having to go to customer service?

    Call Technical Support and check your BlackBerry Firewall. download CrunchSMS and see if you can send and receive using the app.

    You could try this one. Go to options - security - firewall and then make sure that the text messages box isn't ticked if it is then you'll see how many messages have been blocked and simply untick the box and save. This method should fix your problem. Let me know if it does fix the problem.
