Indeed this is a great cut to the chase point to find the software for your phone and carrier. Too bad the Verizon site will not accept my phone number as valid. I believe Verizon is having a multitude of problems with the roll out of the 8830. They still do not have the 8830 on their technical support site and no PDF user manual either!
so i got a question. if i hav a CINGULAR/AT&T BB and i want to use it on T MOBILE, cud i just reflash it to t mobile software and it will work? or does it still have to be unlocked?
New to forum today. I was bitten by the BB bug when a friend got a perl.
I am on alltel and need a cdma BB. but I was wondering based on this posting it looks as if I could download the alltel software for an existing phone after deleting the vendor file from the BB and it would work on alltel? I can't afford a retail BB so I have access to some verizon BBs and possibly an 8703e on alltel. But if I have choices or cheaper prices on the VZN I might go that way if it's simply loading software and deleting a file.
Please let me know if I understand this correctly.
now here is a great site for freeware, the only drawback is that you have to be a member, but its free to be one, so just signup and start downloading. They have everything, ringtones, themes, SW!!!. Happy hunting
Thanks for posting this -- however, when I access the T-Mobile USA and type in my info, I am not getting a download. Instead, the T-mobile site resets to the main page for T-Mobile.
any ideas on how I can get the OS for my 7105t? I can't get a download for it through my biling via T-Mobile or any of the support links or websites you have listed in the various forums.
If it helps I use a program called wavepad masters addition (search google, it shows up at the top of the page) and they allow you to download a free trial. I create my ringtones in there using my itunes music and then save it as an .mp3 and transfer it to my cellphone. If the trial period runs out, just delete and re-install!
