This thread is for folks that have used all three platforms, Android, BlackBerry and iPhone. List the top 3 best/favorite/most useful features of each platform. Or what that platforms strength is. Of course, this is all opinion but I'm curious what you guys think.
Android
1. Big screen
2. Widgets
3. Browser
BlackBerry
1. Keyboard/kb shortcuts
2. LED notifications
3. Form factor (smaller size, light)
iPhone
1. Apps
2. Browser
3. UI simplicity/ease of use
1. Customization (don't like the look of your home screen? change it! don't like the stock keyboard? change it! don't like the browser? change it!
2. Widgets!!!
3. Big clear screen
BlackBerry - Far to many to list
1. From Factor (Keyboard, portrait orientation)
2. Data compression
3. BBM
iPhone iPhone 3, iPhone 4
1. Apps
2. abundance of hardware docking stations
3. appearance when turned off
IF I were forced to choose either Android or Apple for my next device because BlackBerry wasn't available I would be taking Android, except I'd be looking for a device more iPhone 4 size, rather than Atrix and Galaxy size.
The biggest thing about the big three who are actually making decent progress at the moment (apple, Microsoft, and Google) is the service and ecosystem integration. Those phones are all a one stop shop. BlackBerry is not. It feels like a more fragmented user experience.
Android openness is a win you can develop on a carrier locked phone without opening your wallet.
Xbox live and game center are good for mobile gamers. IPhone is an iTouch and iTouch is the most popular mobile gaming device.
ActiveSync support is a big win over blackberry fo consumers.
Screen size less of an issue all platforms have at least one phone with a 3.5+ screen on it.
