Just curious, but how many people out there miss the red number keys from the Bold 9000? I remember when we all got our shiney new Bold 9700's and everyone was complaining about no red number keys, I was one of those people
Sadly, we all wined and complained at RIM...
Alas we never got our red number keys.
It was nice to have the red keys to differentiate numbers from letters, and it just plain looked cool.
So I'm really curious, do people still miss them? Or have we forgot so soon?
Bring back our red number keys RIM!!! I miss them dearly
I was missing it at first, but the black and white look has grown on me. Simple but elegant. I look over at my 9630 and I think it looks like a Christmas tree now.
Speaking of Christmas trees, I fired up my 9700 for old time sake and I think the coloured send/end keys look old school. Happy to have my 9900 I think it looks alwhite

i liked the red keys on my old t-mobile branded 8900. the at&t 8900 came with all white keys.
btw, why is pedobear angry in your avatar?
Hahahahaha.
He's not angry.... He's hungry...
Naw just kidding, that's actually the angry pedobear from The Simpons.
I just like the pic
I gotta admit, I do agree with everyone about the red and green, definitely like Christmas.
I'm actually surprised at the response thus far.... The way the vast majority was when the 9700 first came out and there was no red buttons. People were outraged!
I'm guessing a lot of new 9900 owners may have not been owners of 9000, but if the 9900 brought you aboard the blackberry train, welcome abord

I like the red number keys. I also liked the green send key and the red end key. I think the keyboard panel looks a little boring. But it doesn't affect the performance of the phone so it doesn't matter that much to many anyway.

From the optical perspective, there is possibly less strain on your eyes with the neutral keyboard. When color isn't symetrical your eyes will subconciously drift. A spec on your glasses will be pulling at your vision the whole time causing strain. I like the all white keys. Looks a bit more matured. Like Blackberry grew finally grew up.

...I've had several BB's over the years (9000, 9800, 9780, 9700) and I have to say I much prefer the new style neutral KB, just looks a bit 'classier' to me, always thought the old red and green colouring was a bit cheap-looking and unnecessary. But hey, like most other things, it's all down to opinions, and you know what they say about opinions
I've owned the 9000, among others lol.. and I don't miss the red keys. That said, I don't mind them either.. I wouldn't be upset if they brought them back.. but I won't be upset if they don't.. I like the white.
One idea that might be cool is the ability to change the color of the keyboard back light..maybe even individually by button.. say you had a menu option to change the call button from white to green and back, or any color for that matter.. bring a little customizability to it.
Well, I bought my 9900 on some online store here in the Philippines and to my surprise it has some weird characters in it's keypad from no.s 1-5. The color of this weird characters are yellow and it kills the sleek and classic look of the 9900.
I'm think of buying a 9900 keyboard on eBay but I want to make sure that it came directly from RIM not just china made keyboards it might defeat the purpose of the keyboard typing experience in 9900
I loved the red keys.. Made the phone look more utilitarian & rugged, just like the leather back... But what can you do now that RIM is all about copying (apple) rather than innovating.. Getting rid of the faux leather for this wannabe iphone glossy back
