Let me start out with something RIM should never have done. They should have never removed the second convenience key. When I first used my 9930 I found it a bit hard to cope with the day because I use the 2 keys I find on my 9700. Except for that I love my single convenience key. Thought it would be a nice question to ask you guys what you use your convenience key or keys for.......

    Let's start with me:
I on my 9700 which I still use the right key to lock the phone and the left key to activate Vlingo Plus (BTW don't be jealous I got Vlingo Plus. Its coming for free now )

So what do you guys use your convenience key for?

I agree about the removal of the 2nd convenience key on the 9900, I too used both on the 9700...

One for access to the camera (I always found it easier to do that than search for it)
the other for access to the Address Book.

Now on my 9900 I just have the address book in my Favourites and use the convenience key for the camera!

Interesting. I never really use the camera so no need for me to keep the camera as convenience key. Thanks for the post though!

Vlingo on the left and video camera on the right with the flash ON. Makes a great flashlight.

Right is camera and left opens Music folder on my 9650. I hadn't known they dropped one of the convenience keys on the newer models -- disappointed to hear that.

I only used the right button for the camera and left side for if I wanted to take a screenshot. It sucks not having a camera button on my TB.

I loved having 2 on my 9300, one for camera and one for password lock. With the Torch I use SixTools, that way I have 3 and can customise the mute button too.

Single convenience key works for me - ever used the right key for Voice Dialing, and dont remember the set up of the left one.

My right convenience key belongs to Vlingo, but the left key is configured to use ShortcutMes multiclicks. Currently its set up with an open Shortcutme/flashlight/BBM/SMS combo. Very handy!

Hey why wouldn't you count? If your phone has a convenience key then join in!
