Seen a few posts lately asking about streaming video etc to the playbook..

www.tversity.com works.. I've used it (free version currently) to stream downloaded movies and music to my TV's and Kids computers etc..

Using http://(tversity host_ip/name):41925/flashlib/ in the Browser works well even with the 1.5gb movie I just tested with.

Just a free option for those that are looking..

Haven't tried from outside the house here but I would assume it should work aslong as I forward the 41925 port to the host ip ..

    Examples of URL..
    http://192.168.1.150:41925/flashlib
    http://media-box:41925/flashlib

The host name should work in the URL if your router etc is handling DNS properly on you network. Else use the IP address of the host.

Another great place for streaming movies is amazon.com. As long as you are a member of Amazon Prime, there are a ton of movies and TV shows that you can watch for free. The Playbook is not a supported device (not on their list) but it does work fine. It is definitely worth the price of signing up for Prime. I am still waiting for my hdmi cable to come in to see how it looks on a TV.
