    Hello all,

I have been roaming over AT&T for over 4 days till now, but not getting a 4G coverage although the place where I am has 4G coverage.

I also went and got a GoPhone SIM maybe AT&T only allow their customers to the 4G but also couldn't get 4G.

Do you think I am doing anything wrong?

He said H+ in the title, which ATT is calling 4G. Regardless what we all think if that, the 9860 is able to use H+/4G from ATT if it has the correct bands.

You think there is a way then to get H+ working? knowing that my device is from Vodafone Qatar which uses the International GSM Coverage, as it also works on AT&T 2G and 3G unless AT&T has special frequency for 4G(HSPA+) my BlackBerry should get it fine.

why dont you answer my initial post and we can go from there. if you dont have the bands i listed, then you wont get 3G/H+. there is a reason i asked you. if you want the answers you request, you need to let us know that.

It's a 9860 which uses the International GSM Band
Tri-band 3G HSDPA UMTS networks: 2100/1900/850/800 MHz or 2100/1700/900 MHz
    Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks: 850/900/1800/1900MHz

Because Vodafone Qatar uses nothing special, it's the same as Vodafone UK, same as AT&T.

you still dont get it do you. in bold you listed one set of frequencies OR another. WHICH SET DO YOU HAVE???

simply listing the devices generic specs wont tell me what i need to know. again, go to options > device > about device versions. next to where it says 3G/H+, does it say 1,2,5,6 or 1,4,8?????

Vodafone branded uses only 2100/1700/900 MHz networks for 3G/H+ and AT&T branded uses 2100/1900/850/900 MHz there is 3 models of 9860... You won't get AT&T's 3G/H+ with your Vodafone branded 9860 as Vodafone uses 900 Mhz and AT&T 850/1900 Mhz

    Good to know.
I went to AT&T about 3 hours ago, they said 4G is not allowed for Roamers or GoPhone users and that explains why I get no H+

Thanks for helping, but last question, can T-Mobile H+ work? I know 3G doesnot but I am just asking because TMobile offers H+ and BIS for Prepaid.

no, as i stated, they offer H+ on 1700 mhz. your phone doesnt cover that frequency at all. you will only get EDGE on them also.
