I know T-Mobile, Rogers and AT&T have different 3g frequency. My question is doesnt all Bold 9900 phones support (UMTS) 800/850/900/1700/1900/2100?

So if I bought a Rogers Bold 9900 I could use it in another country where 1700/2100 3g frequency is used?

    Somebody help me

To the best of my knowledge Rogers 9900 supports following:

    GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS850, UMTS1900, UMTS2100, CSD, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA

This means you cannot connect to a network where 1700 is in use. As I know only few operators are running 1700 networks, and probably all they support 2100 as well.
Shouldn't be an issue I suppose.

    Just for information - T-mobile 9900:

    GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS900, UMTS1700, UMTS2100, CSD, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, HSPA+,

Also non T-Mobile 9900s are "divided" into two - supporting HSPA+ and not supporting HSPA+.

The 9900 sold in Canada do support H+, but the ones sold in Asia - Singapore, Hong Kong, don't.

If you are looking for advice I would recommend to go after Rogers 9900, as it supports the standard GSM/UMTS frequencies - virtually compatible with entire world, and has H+.

All the Rogers 9900 phones come locked though, correct? How does one get an unlocked one?

It's a very easy process. You'd just have to buy an unlock code from one of the various sites that sell them. Should be able to get one for under $10.

All the info you need can be found here: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-unlocking-f157/

Was referring to Rogers but you can get Bell or Telus as well - no difference, only the startup screen I guess.
