Was just looking at the T-Mobile news and came across this:

T-Mobile’s Value Plan Promotion For Saturday September 24th

Didn't see it posted here yet, but if you're in a position to get a new contract, this seems like the deal most of you were waiting for!

Seems to be a very good deal if you go with the $60 a month plan that has unlimited calling and text, with 2GB of high speed data each month.

So you are paying $249.99 + tax on the total cost of the phone up front, getting $150 in a rebate in 6-12 weeks, and paying $15/month for 20 months, on top of the $59.99 unlimited talk, text & 2GB rate plan = $74.99/month + tax
($74.99 includes the $15/month for the phone, also only $59.99 is taxed because you pay the tax on the phone up front)

    $249.99 + $32.49 (tax on $549.99 based on 6%) = $282.48
Mail in Rebate : Minus $150.00
    20 monthly payments of $15.00

Total cost after 20 months $432.48

My understanding based on what tmonews.com posted

I think people are misunderstanding the monthly payment column, or at least I hope they are... I thought that payment would be if you wanted to spread out the cost of the phone on your bill vs paying the $100 up front. If it truly is an extra $15 a month for two years on top of the $99 it's kind of a miserable deal.

Maybe we'll need to dig through the (messy) comments on that page to see what the real deal with the $15 is. I don't see anything on the official T-Mobile webpage that says you must pay an extra $15 a month in addition to the $250 - 150 visa card.

So maybe I just need to have my eyes checked, that took all of two seconds:
    Payment Options
    Down payment and 20 monthly payments required; 0% APR O.A.C. ......... Blackberry Bold™ 9900 4G: $249.99 down & $15/mo.; $150 MIR avail. Blackberry Curve™ 9300: $49.99 down & $10/mo.; $50 MIR avail.
Ouch! So this really isn't such a good deal on any of these phones, like anyone wants to pay $250 for a curve?!

I don't think the 9900 is $99, I believe they are only going to be giving you $99.99 towards the cost of the 9900, notice in the small type "toward".

Nobody is going to give you $99 to use toward the Bold. YOU will be paying $249.99 + tax up front, then receiving a $150 MIR card. The 99.99 is because they do not factor tax into the advertisement.

Yeah, the deal is confusing and misleading. At the bottom it states:

1Equipment Installment Plans: On Approved Credit and 0% APR. Down payment & unfinanced portion required at purchase. Remaining balance paid in 20 monthly installments. Total post-rebate price of each device equals down payment amount plus monthly payment amount times 20.

FWIW I am 19 months into my plan and the Bold is $399.99 with a 2 year contract. I chatted online last night and that was the best price.

Today, I called in to ask what my ETF would be because I was seriously considering it, and they quickly asked what I wanted after seeing I was there for 7 years.

I told them the Bold @ $399.99 was just too much and then they offered it for $299.99 with a $50 credit to my account, free 2nd day shipping and no upgrade fee and this is why I've been with T-Mobile so long. Great customer service and great rate plans while still providing me with good coverage where I live!

This is still much cheaper than buying it on verizon for their discounted price when you consider the monthly bill. Basically the best deal you will get on any carrier.

I may just go to Costco this week and switch to a T-Mobile Bold. Looks like they were $229 plus they give you a holster, car charger and screen protector.
