is it just me or is it almost impossible to open up the back of your 9900? I seem to be breaking nails over this and still not getting it open... surely that can't be right?! I don't want to use a knife or key or something incase i scratch the bottom, but i can't seem to open it with my fingers?

    Yeah, it's tight.
But that's a good thing. Better too tight, than too loose and falling off.

I have been able to get mine off with my thumb nail, but if you are breaking your nail try using a plastic knife, or other plastic object approx the size of your thumbnail.

I use the flat side of a cylinder lock key.
Its good that its stiff. Means its got no chance of falling off randomly

I don't think its worse than the storm 2. That was near impossible to get off but its a lot better than having my style with its shakey back cover

I have the 9930 and my door is easy on and off. It also has a nice tight fit.

Like bbue said it will get easier. The first time I charged it I swore I was gonna break something. Everything is real tight, but that's part of the joy, I guess. Haha

the first 9900 i had, popped off with ease with my thumb, my current one... its alot harder i almost snapped my nail off... i find using a creditcard or debitcard (some sorda card) and sliding it in to the hole in the back, and just pushing it in will pry the whole cover off safely without damaging anything try it out

The good news is that we shouldn't be needing to open that often any more due to fewer battery pulls.
