MY BB Bold 9900 loaded with OS 7.0.0.353 takes about 10 even up to 15 mins just to boot up, the initial boot up will be pretty fast but stuck or slow down when reaches 3/4 mark... Not sure if it's hardware or software issue, just wanna find out from you guys, how long does yours take to bootup?

Could it be the Apps I am using that slow down my booting up time after battery pull?

Apps and data definitely slow device loads, but it should take 10-15 mins! That's what old berries used to take to load up.

If you have Wifi Music Sync installed, remove it! With just that app alone, my 9930 would take close to 10 minutes to boot up. Now that it's removed, my phone boots up in under 3 minutes.

Mine was the same.. The bar would reach 3/4 of the way quick then it would stop.. At first I thought it froze so I batt pulled again... Did a wipe and it solved the issue.. Phone was originally device-switched vs back up and restore so that may have something to do with the long boot time

20 seconds tops. Can't imagine why OP's phone would take so long to boot.

Same for me! Took 10-15 mins to reboot. I tried doing a security wipe to clean up my phone and the boot up time became under 3mins. When I restore my data and 3rd party apps like whatsapp etc, the reboot time went back to 10mins. Not sure if it's the apps or corrupt data.

might be the apps.. i just did a batt pull now and it took 5 mins

just did another pull and it only took 2 mins... i guess the longer the phone is on the longer the boot time?

Well I guess, to have a good comparison, you guys can just list out what Apps you currently installed, what OS you are using.. perhaps will iron out what Apps are slowing down the boot up time and what Apps actually not compatible with OS 7... even my BB 9700 running on OS 6.0.0.650 (Best so far!) is much faster than my current BB 9900, what a shame!

My 9900 takes 2minutes on .296 with 26 apps installed- my startup/reboot time has stayed pretty consistent.
It took about 2minutes to reboot when fresh and still takes about 2mins with all my apps installed.
    10 minutes sounds painful!

I used to have a 9700 which was painfully slow, it used to take around 5 minutes to boot (it doesn't sound as bad as the 10-15 min guys, but was still painful for me).

Last week, I received my BB 9900, and it booted the first time I ran it in around 15 seconds and I never felt happier. Later, I activated my corporate email as we have an Enterprise Server, and that was when the device was going back to the stone age. Booting time has jumped from 15 seconds to 3 minutes. Apparently, BES has pushed some stuff into my phone and has cause it to run slower. Not sure what it was, or how to delete it. It just slowed down my device

No way I believe 20 seconds, show me the proof.

The other question I have for everyone else: At what point are you considering your phone completely booted? At the point where the progress bar goes away? Or at the point the phone becomes useable?
