I was curious if you know of any planned updates that will include the SureType ability on the PB. imo this is great on the storm 2

I cant claim to know for sure of course but I can almost 100% assure you that will never happen. For starters the hardware is not in place on the playbook, it has a capacitive touchscreen instead. Second, from what I understand so few people liked the storm brand that RIM had to rename the Storm 3 to the Torch 9850/60.

I don't think jsilvey meant surepress, the Storm technology. I think he meant suretype the reduced keyboard with multiple letters on each larger key that predictively chooses the letter and anticipates words that is available on touchscreen blackberry handsets.

The type of screen has nothing to do with SureType... You might be referring to SurePress.

jsilvey, I am not sure if any updates will include this on the PlayBook I have read here and there about rumors of autocorrect coming to the PlayBook however not sure when
