Yelp (Business Reiews and Info)
Blue (Stocks and Financial)

whats the difference in google maps vs the default maps app?
also just wondering if anybody knows of any apps similar to pulse news reader? this is one I used a lot on my iphone and kind of miss.09-09-11 09:47 PMLike 0 -
Google maps are much better in terms of how the directions are given and the map itself.
I use the following:
QuickLaunch
Google Maps
BerryWeather (in Canada the "Feels like temp" is very useful)
Telicost (calculate how many min, I have used and how many left and warns when I get close to going over... a great free app)
Google Sync
Wikitude
SixTools (you can make your volume keys into convenient keys.)
SocialFeed with Twitter Facebook09-09-11 10:07 PMLike 0 - 09-09-11 11:04 PMLike 0
- ...things I use a lot and would recommend include
BerryWeather - LockPlus (really nice little locking app) - QuickLaunch - FileScout - BerryPopUp - iBlocker Pro (call filtering / blocking) - BeBuzz - Picture ID (full-screen photos of callers) - SlickTasks - MyOwnIcons (just for fun!) - NetOn (one-touch connections app) - Shazam - Evernote (saving notes etc, w/ PC sync)... there's more I've forgotten right now but these are all goodies!09-10-11 12:18 AMLike 0 -
Please just be aware that there's no pinch-to-zoom with Google Maps. So really, they both have their positives and negatives. I keep both in case if I need that quick zoom response (works well when showing the out-of-towners around Sin City here). But Google Maps still hold reign when it comes to input/output capabilities (input address...location found...outbound call).
My apps are:
Wikitude
BeBuzz (A must-have)
TuneIn Radio
DI Radio
Sky.fm Radio
Pandora (Thank You for thinking of us OS7 owners)
Google Maps
YouMail
Battery Booster Pro (Gotta have it!)
ScoreMobile (Because I'm crazy about sports)
.....
Plus a few games I rarely play (My 9930 is a Productive Device...not a toy)
Enjoy your new Bold.09-10-11 12:53 AMLike 0 - i dont find berrymaps so bad for what it does ... but unlike google maps it dosent find all locations ( here in europe atleast... ) unless you know the exact adress,it has no walk/public transportation option.
my list :
BerryBuzz (imo this is a must app for people who does alot of communicatio )
Wisepilot ( free 3D navigator ... not that optimized but its nice for a free app )
dropbox
Wikitude
Tuner ( gives you the frequency of audio ... to tune pianos, guitars etc. )
im+ pro ( priecy ... but there is also a free version with advertising ....its the best multi-messanger app imo )
pandora
chatmosphere ( IRC chat app )
Kobo
blackboard ( in case your university use it )
Pageonce
Neelam ( Scientific Calculator )
and a few other like facebook twitter etc.Last edited by KoreAairlines; 09-10-11 at 01:20 AM.

Sent from my BlackBerry 9930 using Tapatalk10-09-11 10:08 PMLike 0 - The search function is particular about formatting. Yes, it should be forgiving like Google. The turn by turn, time estimates and traffic reporting all are pretty spot on in my use.10-09-11 11:59 PMLike 0
- Nice suggestions. Question about MemoryUp Personal, does this need to be kept running in the background in order to recovery memory automatically? Only way to keep it running in the background is via the red end key.
