Hi all,

Happy 64GB Playbook owner here. When I take pictures with my PB, the images have a purplish line across the picture, about 1/3 of the way down from the top of the image. But, when I take video, there's no purplish line on the screen or recorded video.

I thought at first it would be a row of dead pixels, or a bad camera lens, but seems like that would affect both photos and vids, no? Any ideas?

Have you tried resetting/booting the pb? Press and hold all three- PowerOne, VolUp and Voldown.

Does it happen for both the front (screen side) and rear camera? Zooming affect it?

I had a red line that required RMA of my playbook but it appeared in both pictures and video so it was a camera problem. Yours sounds like a software issue that might need a hard reset or a reload of the system software.
