Definitely! If you don't want to pay $50 for one, I just ordered the GTMax from Amazon for $3.99 and it works just fine.

I think it does as well to a certain extent: if you are stationary. However if you are always on the go and want to watch movies while walking or at starbucks or something (you know for people who would just honestly prefer something with a larger screen) then the HDMI cable will get old.

I think you should go ahead and get one and see how you like it. I LOVE MINE!

Yeah, I got mine for 6 bucks on Amazon, works like a charm. Just another "flaw" of a 7'' screen debunked when you can also view it just as easily on a 60'' screen...

I was really in two minds about this too but I'm very happy I ended up getting one. Used it just last night to show the kids some of the home videos and pictures we had taken. Used it a few weeks back on a "boys" weekend at a holiday house when I loaded up some movies and also for listening to music through the TV.

Nobody ever mentions presentation mode, I replaced my first cable after losing it just I cause missed watching videos out while surfing or whatever at the same time. Buy one.

Use your PlayBook as a steering wheel while watching on a big LCD is awesome!

Go for it!!! i watch MLBTV on the PlayBook and connect it to my HDTV for the high quality streaming video....

i also watch TV shows on my PlayBook and stream it directly to my HDTV.....
