Thanks OS 7 - for some reason you let me accidentally move my calculator icon into the media panel, but now I can't move it out and am reduced to asking on Crackberry and making myself look like an *****! Damn you for being so damn counter-intuitive...
If you open the media folder on the "ALL" screen and highlight (don't click) the calculator icon you can then hit the BB menu button and choose "move to folder" and then choose the "Home" folder (or a different folder if you prefer). That should do it for you.
