Vodafone's 3G frequency is not the same with AT&T's. You wont be able to get 3G or H+ never. It will only work with EDGE.

Yep. Same thing here. I had one shipped over for testing and didn't even think to ask which bands it supported. The SGSII I had imported worked just fine, and that clouded my thinking.

Anyway, it's a 1,4,8 device, which means 3G/4G on T-Mobile USA but not AT&T. I can't believe AT&T is waiting on this device. I just don't get it.

I think there are 2 European models of the 9900. One will work fine, one won't.

I don't get it- AT&T says it supports H+ (pseudo-4G) and the triband H+ specs are exactly the same on my unlocked 9900 from the UK and the Rogers and Telus versions. They are all 9900s. Blackberry only makes one model with all the same radios. The only different model is the 9930. Perhaps I'm wrong- sort of a newbie.

The uk ones are the wrong bands. You maybe look at the edge frequencies and not 3g/4g bands.

You're right, I should get 3G, but it only says EDGE. I have the network settings on 2G & 3G. When I set it to 3G only, I have not service. Bummer. Should I send it back?
