I just purchased an unlocked Vodaphone 9900 and I am trying to use it on the AT&T network and I can only get it it to work on EDGE no 3G no H+... Anyone have any clue's or can provide some help?
Yep. Same thing here. I had one shipped over for testing and didn't even think to ask which bands it supported. The SGSII I had imported worked just fine, and that clouded my thinking.
Anyway, it's a 1,4,8 device, which means 3G/4G on T-Mobile USA but not AT&T. I can't believe AT&T is waiting on this device. I just don't get it.
thanks for the reply guys. So if i wanted 4G (H+) on ATT with a blackberry 9900 on AT&T which phone do i have to buy? I guess their is no OEM version out there yet they all are unlocked and branded.
I don't get it- AT&T says it supports H+ (pseudo-4G) and the triband H+ specs are exactly the same on my unlocked 9900 from the UK and the Rogers and Telus versions. They are all 9900s. Blackberry only makes one model with all the same radios. The only different model is the 9930. Perhaps I'm wrong- sort of a newbie.

The uk ones are the wrong bands. You maybe look at the edge frequencies and not 3g/4g bands.
You're right, I should get 3G, but it only says EDGE. I have the network settings on 2G & 3G. When I set it to 3G only, I have not service. Bummer. Should I send it back?
